GreyMAR's eFax system allows you to fax back and forth using an electronic HIPAA compliant fax solution.
How do I received a fax?
To receive a fax, simply provide your eFax number to the sender. Once it has been received by GreyMAR, you will receive an email, and the fax will be attached to the email. The fax will also be stored in the GreyMAR cloud, allowing your administrator to maintain an archive.
* You can view when the fax has been received, number of pages, and duration of the fax communication time. The archive function requires you to have the appropriate Security Role.
How do I send a fax?
To send a fax, you'll open your email and do the following:
TO FIELD - Set this to firstname.lastname@example.org
SUBJECT FIELD - Set this as the number you wish to send the fax to. (i.e. 412-555-5555)
BODY - In the body of the email, attach the PDF you wish to send. As a reminder, GreyMAR eFax can only process PDFs.
**Any text that you write in the email will not be sent.
What if the phone lines are down in my building?
During the initial implementation process of GreyMAR, the phone company is contacted to do an automatic forward of faxes to the GreyMAR service, so the failover should be automatic. Please contact your IT Help Desk to double check how this process works.
GreyMAR is also designed to be used as a full time solution, so your staff can go completely electronic.
Is the GreyMAR EFax HIPAA Compliant?
GreyMAR's service has been developed to be HIPAA compliant and provide a secure method of transfer. GreyMAR's backend carrier, Twilio, has provided the tools and capabilities necessary to allow us to build a compliant service for our customers.
